"New Order was produced by submitting the lyrics (as my own) for New Order's songs "True Faith" and "1963" to a song-poem service ... The resulting songs were then produced as a 7" single with packaging similar to the original New Order single containing the two songs."

A genius idea. Shaddock sent New Order's lyrics (as if they were his own) for 'True Faith' and '1963' to a song-poem service, who then set the lyrics to music, which Shaddock in turn pressed up as a 7" single. The version of 'True Faith' is actually great - it has a mid-late 70s yacht rock quality to it, think low-fi Ned Doheny!
